Lay - A - Way Policy
At the discretion of RCK a customer may "Lay - A - Way" a knife with a 25% deposit, an agreed Time Frame and a Pickup/Delivery Date. Balance on the item must be paid in full before shipment. If for any reason a customer defaults on his/her agreement the deposit will be refunded in the form of store credit minus 10%handling fee of the sale.
Shipping
Domestic Shipping is included with all purchases, CONUS. Additional charge for Alaska and Hawaii as they will ship USPS insured priority. Global Express International shipping is $40.00 - $55.00 on any single knife. Multiple item shipping can be combined to one shipment and will need a quote. FedEx & faster UPS shipping available, call for quote.
Returns
If for some reason an item needs to be returned, the customer needs to contact Mike @RCK by email or Phone (508-252-4340). Every effort will be made to resolve the matter in a timely fashion. If a return is in order, the item must be packaged securely and arrive back at RCK in the condition it was originally shipped at which time a Refund in the form of a Credit will be issued. There are no returns for acquired pieces that are special ordered. Please see below for the explanation of a Credit.
Refunds, Returns, Credits and Return of Deposits
When a refund is issued for a returned item, it will be in the form of a Credit minus any credit card processing charges, shipping charges and a 10% restocking fee. This Credit can be used to purchase other items on the RCK website. For returned deposits, a Credit will be issued that can be used to purchase other items on the RCK website.
A word on Handle materials
Due to the nature of using natural materials for knife handles and scales, shrinkage, cracks and other inclusions are not warranted by RCK. This is an industry standard, however each situation will be looked at individually and hopefully resolved in a satisfactory manor.
Warranties on Materials and Craftsmanship
These issues are covered by the individual makers and as such RCK acts as a Purveyor for these makers and their products and does not warrantee them directly. If a situation arises with a knife that RCK has purchased directly from a maker, RCK will make every effort to resolve the matter in a timely fashion working with both Customer and Maker.
